How to install Google Site Kit in WordPress - Google recently released an all-in-one plugin tied to the four main services on their side. Although Google Site Kit is still in Beta, you still have the ability to download and then upload it to your WordPress website.
Download the Site Kit now available on GitHub repository. That's where we will get the file and then upload it in the section below. The plugin will give users simple access to four Google tools, as well as provide a lot of functionality and detailed information for your website.
What is Google Site Kit?
Google Site Kit is the WordPress plugin they have been developing since they announced it at WordCamp US 2018. Site Kit gives users the ability to access information from four major Google services. Include:

Because this article focuses on how to manually install Site Kit on your WordPress website, it's likely that you already have other services set up. This means you have configured Google Analytics for WordPress. You will also want your website to be connected to Google Search Console (Website administration tool).
Note: The last thing to remember. The Google Site Kit is still in Beta, so this plugin is not yet available in the WordPress plugin repository. Therefore, we need to install Site Kit manually into WordPress. Please note that this guide will change and be updated when the plugin is released into the repository.
Install Google Site Kit for WordPress
The first thing you need to do is download the Google Site Kit plugin from GitHub. Click the Green Clone button, then click the green Download Zip button. This will download the plugin in the zip file to your device.
Once you've downloaded the zip file, visit your WordPress admin dashboard so you can upload it to your website. Click Plugin> Add new.
From here, click the plugin upload button at the top of the screen. You will be given the option to upload the plugin and then install it.
Click the select file button and then choose to download Google Site Kit from your computer.
After you select the file, click the Install now button and WordPress will automatically install the plugin for you.
After the plugin has been installed, click on the plugin activation button.

Set up Google Site Kit
When you activate the plugin, you will see the following screen. Click the install start button to configure the plugin.
Like we said above, it would be ideal when you have Analytics installed with Search Console, then the plugin will connect to those things more easily. You also have the ability to easily integrate Google Adsense for WordPress.
Let's move over the setup by all means, so you are likely to see what it takes to run it.
Remember, Beta is mainly for developers, so you will need to be familiar with Google Cloud Platform, OAuth.
When you select the Start installation button, you will see Welcome to the Developer Website Toolkit.
Click the display link to begin the process. You will be taken to where Google will provide you with your login information. Click the Get credentials button.
Agree to terms of service on Google and a pop-up box will appear with a long code string. Copy this code and paste it back into the waiting box in your WordPress admin panel.
After you paste the code into the box, click the proceed button.
Sign in with Google
Now, sign in on Google. Click the green button to login and then move.
Once you have signed in with Google, it's time to verify your domain name.
Verify your domain name
Your domain name will automatically appear. Click the Continue button online to verify your domain name with Google Site Kit.

Once your domain name is verified, you have the ability to click a button to connect to Google Search Console.
Finish
You have now successfully installed the Google Site Kit plugin at your WordPress site. Click the switch to control panel to enter the Dashboard.
