This article assumes that you are already in a meeting, called using the Zoom app for Android or iOS. But you don't hear sounds from other people or talk but other people can't hear.
Try these troubleshooting steps if you experience microphone or speaker problems after joining a meeting on the Zoom app.
Inaudible audio from other participants in Zoom
If you cannot hear other participants in the meeting with Zoom, follow these steps to fix the problem.
- Make sure your speaker is turned on. If you see the speaker icon in the upper left corner turned off, tap it to turn on your speaker:
- Turn up the volume on your mobile device with the volume buttons or the notification panel. Even if the speaker is turned on in Zoom, your device's volume can be set to just mute or vibrate.
- Try using headphones if you have them.
- Reboot your mobile device.
- Reinstall Magnetic Zoom Apple App Store or Google Play Store .
Participants didn't hear you speaking in Zoom
If others cannot hear you in your Zoom meeting with the mobile app, follow these steps to fix the problem:
- Make sure the microphone is not muted. If you see the icon Audio tTo mute the meeting control, tap the icon to unmute:
If you are still muted, the server may have muted you during the meeting. Request is muted by submission chat message to the server. - Make sure you have a mobile device connected. If you see the icon Audio later in the meeting control, tap the icon and select Call via Device Audio . If prompted, allow Zoom to access your microphone.
- Try using a headset with a microphone.
Make sure Zoom has access to your device's microphone.
- iOS : Access Settings > Privacy > Microphone and turn toggle to Zoom.
- Android : Access Settings > Apps & notifications > App permissions > Microphone and toggle to zoom.
- Ensure that no other application is using the microphone at the same time.
- iOS : Double-click the "Home" button to see currently running applications. Swipe up to close an application.
- Android : Press the multi-tasking button (the square icon usually in the lower right corner) to see currently running applications. Swipe to the left to the right to close the application.
- Reboot your iOS device.
- Reinstall Magnetic Zoom Apple App Store or Google Play
