[cPanel] - Manage addon domain (Domain addon) on cpanel





overview


Domain addon allows you to control multiple domains from one cpanel account. An addon domain associates a new domain name with a directory in your account, then saves its files in that directory.



You access the domain addon under the menu on the cpanel as follows:




Create an addon domain


To create an addon domain, do the following:



  1. Enter the domain name of the new addon in the text box New Domain Name. When you enter the domain name, cPanel will automatically fill in the text box Subdomain and Document Root . (You can edit and change 2 subdomain values ​​and document root as desired)

  2. To create an FTP account for the new addon domain, tick the box Create an FTP account associated with this Addon Domain:
    A new form will appear with default username subdomain attached, you just need to enter the password again and you're done.



    Note:




    • The system evaluates the passwords you enter on a scale of 100.0 indicates weak passwords, while 100 indicates very secure passwords.

    • Some web hosts require a minimum password strength.

    • If you create an ftp account for the domain, this ftp account only has access to the newly added website folder.





  3. Click on it Add domain. To complete addon domain name.
















Search for addon domains


In case you have a lot of addon domains, do the following:



  1. Import content search into the box Search .

  2. Click go .


The interface lists the matching results content your search.



Modify the Addon domain name


Modify the document root (the folder containing the data) for an addon domain


To modify the document root for an addon domain, perform the following steps:



  1. Click the edit icon for the addon domain you want to manage in the column document root .


  2. Enter the path document root The new addon domain name in the text box is available.



  3. Click on it Change .



Enable or disable redirection of the addon domain


To disable or enable addon domain redirection, follow these steps:



  1. Click on it Manage Redirection (Managing redirects) for the addon domain you want to manage.

  2. To redirect the domain name, enter the link for which you want to redirect the addon domain.

  3. Click Save, or if necessary to disable the redirection click the button Disable Redirection



Delete the addon domain


To delete an addon domain, follow these steps:



  1. At the list of domain addon you Click remove for the addon domain you want to delete.
