It happens to everyone at some point in their lives: their wonderful and precious phone slips out of hand and into the toilet, sink or some other unforgivable liquid!
Once, I dropped my phone into the pool and tried to dry it out by shaking it vigorously and using a hair dryer. It does not work and the phone is dead! Some of the advice I mentioned in this post you think would be common sense, but I didn't think about it at the time.
Fortunately, if your phone hasn't been submerged for a long time, there are a few things you can do to fix it and possibly save yourself the cost of having to replace it.

Another thing to note about rice is that you should try to use rice from an airtight package. Open rice will not absorb much water and you will waste time.
Desiccant
What is desiccant? I don't know exactly either, but we always see them. Obviously, it has small silica packets that you find in shoes, clothes and even food all the time.
You can buy these from Amazon on the cheap and basically stuff your phone and a bunch of these things in a sealed bag. You can also buy other desiccants like drier and use it the same way. This method is faster than rice because these can actually absorb moisture.
The main thing here is that you need to create a tight seal. Once you do that, leave it as long as possible. Again, the longer it takes, the more dry your phone will be. It takes a very long time for the water to drain, so be ready to wait 2 to 3 days.
Other methods
There are other drying methods that you should avoid, such as placing your phone in the sun, using a microwave or using an oven. All the bad ideas. The sun may be fine, but you have to do it the right way. For example, place it on a towel to avoid excessive heat from the ground and leave it out for no more than 15 to 20 minutes.
